Start Detox
Now that you know the reasons why we should detox, and what toxins can do to you body, let’s go through the processs of how to implement a bodily detoxification, first the DIY method. Then we will cover the items and programs you can purchase, detox supplements and programs, and how to maintain the positive effects of the detox.
Cleanse The Skin
The following are some items you can use to cleanse the skin. Generally if you weigh 150 lbs, you will need to drink 2 liters of water. Here is a good water calculator
The consumption of water, or other liquids, like broth or tea, make you urinate more, which cleanses your kidneys (a detox organ).
Massage Oils
Using massage oils made from essential oils is one way that you can work to detoxify your body on a long term scale. Essential oils should never be used directly on the skin.
Here are some good essential oils to use for detoxification:
- Basil
- Cedarwood
- Cypress
- Grapefruit
- Juniper
- Lemon
- Orange
- Rosemary
Lavender
and rose
are a great essential oils to help you relax and have other beneficial qualities.
Apply these to the skin, mixing a few drops of the essential oil with almond oil.
Or you could place these
into a diffuser,
and breathe the beneficial vapors into your lungs.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy works to detoxify your body in a slower way and will work continually over a period of time.

You can find essential oil recipes online or in some health food stores. It is very important that you
use pure, organic essential oils or extracts for these recipes as synthetics will not give you the same results.
Again, in addition to making a massage oil to apply to your skin, you can also use a nebulizer or
diffuser to inhale the oils to allow for detoxification to go through the lungs.
Change Eating Habits

Avoid buying food products at the store containing
artificial or man-made ingredients. Eat a lot of green vegetables and fiber rich foods. This will help
clean out your colon, and drinking enough fluids will help in flushing out your kidneys (your detox organs). Start or keep exercising,
here’s, a great exercise program you should implement, and refrain from alcoholic beverages.
Doing the items listed above will help you to accomplish your bodily detoxification goals.
